ESREVER

Post by Casavettes »

So I need to pick up a dedicated reverse delay pedal
Saw the flashback mini and liked it's size and how cute it was and all that stuff
But I saw a few demos and I can't tell if the reverse setting get 100% wet
...
No but really, does it?
I could pick up an M5 and be done with it but am trying to conserve space
Also reverse delay talk!
Really think a pedal completely dedicated to reverse should be put out
Hell id buy the shit out of just the reverse setting on the empress

There's a mode in the reverse setting that plays the reverse notes an octave higher
I'm pretty sure any demo of the vintage modified delay will show it
Also just sounds nice in general as a reverse delay

A dedicated reverse delay has got to happen soon, alot of people seem to want one (me included). Didn't Danelectro use to do one? Why hasn't anybody else jumped on the idea?

The Flashback doesn't seem to have a mix knob, so not sure you can get her all wet.

I think part of the reason that there isn't a whole lot of reverse delays out there is because you can't just do it with a ready-made chip. You gotta code stuff which takes more time

Haha if I knew how to code chips, I'd make a simple dedicated reverse delay that could go 100% wet. That's what people want. I could stop building all my other stuff and just crank out reverse delays and finally the void would be filled!

Well, someone on this forum has got to know how to code, right? Wait, what if you just installed a normal delay chip upside down

Doc Sci Ryan can code! He coded the chip for the BitQuest. He might be able to be persuaded to make a little dedicated reverse delay if enough people bug the shit out of him!

Timebender's reverse delay is really nice.

Most pedals that have reverse delay don't really have many options. It's just reverse delay with maybe an ability to adjust mix and time.
If someone were to take on making a dedicated reverse delay (or reverb!) then hopefully they could really focus on it and see what else is possible. It would be awesome to end up with a pedal that does the basics of reverse but then also added some exciting new sounds too.
