I need some ear plugs, and I'm not a rich ass.

Tell me what to do ILF.

Hearos are awesome and like 14bux.
I used them when seeing Boris play Flood, heard every detail of it instead of my eardrums distorting, and was able to talk to my friend with 'em in.

This is relevant to my interests. Had 2 practices with my new band and my ears rang for 2 days after both times.

I think I'm going to pick up a set of one of those right now. I'm seeing Swans again soon, and forgot my earplugs last time. Big mistake.

These are awesome but they are a bit pricey. But what price can a muso put on their hearing.

Anything is better than losing your hearing to somebody else's band.

I got some Alpine ones for band practice, felt like earmuffs and I could hardly hear my bass. Would be fine for shows and and just playing loud by yourself but you definitely lose detail and when you don't have monitors and need to hear everything from your amp, they don't cut it.

I'm going to try out some of these suggestions.

A friend let me borrow some of those Hearos High Fidelity at Baroness (I was literally 2 feet in front of the PA speakers). They're pretty good for comfort purposes and still being able to hear everything, but do note that they average about 20db reduction. The ones you can get in a giant bucket at a hardware store do about 36db.

Hearos are awesome. I wish I wouldn't have lost mine. I will echo that they definitley do their job but you can still talk with them in!

I've got these too, they work pretty well. Bit of a frequency change but they keep things way more even than the cheap foam ones, they're still cheap. Hard to complain.

These are great! The sound is on point and they are more comfortable than similar plugs that I've tried.
