B-52 Amplifiers - (Tube) Let's chat
Had a friend that played a 2x12 combo and it sounded pretty awesome with his Les Paul. I have no other specs. That said, I found a AT-100 for what looks like a steal compared to Guitar Center/Musicians Friend prices.
AT-100 Tube Chart
Power: 4 – 6L6 / 5881
Preamp: 4 – 12AX7
Phase-Inverter: 1 - 12AX7
Reverb: 1 - 12AX7
Effects-Loop: 1 - 12AX7
Rectifier: 1 - 5AR4
On paper it looks pretty rad. Plan to run some fuzz through it if I get it. Anyone have any input on their durability, or any other experience?
Thanks!

One of my friends used to use on (the dude from Tiny Moving Parts, they're pretty big now) and he had a few reliability issues with it. It sounded good and was versatile but IDK about their lifespan.

I picked it up for $100. Don't know if it works yet, was missing the fuse holder. Cool looking amp for sure! Can't wait to hear it.

It is not a bad amp at all. Definitely gets more shit than it deserves at times. Make sure you make friends with someone who can do minor repair work for you as some of the parts are cheap and will need replacing. It is very loud and bass heavy, so keep that in mind when adjusting the eq. I used one for many years with my symphonic metal band with a line 6 rack running through it. So far it is working out in my Doom project as well.

Forgot to answer your fuzz question. Right now the only Fuzz I have is a black Arts Ritual and it is sounding tasty.

That sounds awesome. I intend to use it for Bass, so bass heavy is good! Parts are ordered to get it up and running.

I found Radio Shack carries T-3 1/4 Screw and Bayonet bases with red or green lamp shade colors. The color screws right in.
B-52 is dragging their feet getting me parts.
All I know for sure is that the power tube fuse is a 1A Fast Blow and that the holder screws into threads. Not the usual push and turn 90deg. I really want to heard this thing. :O(

B-52 Customer Service is non existent. You are better off talking with someone who knows what they are doing and getting a compatible replacement part 3rd party.

That's a bummer. They were really nice and helpful right off the bat. Apparently they don't like money.
Anyone I've called so far isn't sure on the fuse voltage either. If I can get that answered, I'll just install a new common style holder. So far all I can find are people replacing them saying to match them up, but no specs or part numbers.
