I hated on phasers for a long while.
Now I have a Phase 90 which is totally fine for me. Wanna do the R28 mod and maybe rehouse some day but who knows.... Really just want a Whetstone because reasons.

I used to be that guy. Maybe worse, with some annoying purist stupidity. No interest in digital reverb or delay back then. I already had my Space Echo but felt a bit guilty that it was solid state. These days I usually prefer digital reverb of distinctly unnatural flavors and don't give a fuck about the integrity or purity of my signal path so long as it sounds rad.rustywire wrote:Reverb pedals in general: I was an "I'd rather use the long-tank in my Fender amp" guy. Then I heard how reverb > delay can sound.

The crystal lattices of tube harmonicas could not contain the benevolent evil that is the Space Echo's greatness, sir.

I used to think I had no need for reverb, being a bass player. Then I started doing more atmospheric solo stuff and thought maaaayyybbbbeee I could use one. And then I saw the SuperMoon. The end.

Eq, I had an M13 for years and did not ever use the mass of eq's it has. Well I acquired an M9 and was messing around with them. WTF!? Was I thinking? Totally adds a different dime toon to all my other pedals and my totally clean sound.

Those TC Helicon vocal stompboxes. They work. Currently using the purple one, the red one and the yellow one. Distortion, reverb, echo. I stubbornly looked away and continued to use guitar effects and a Vocoloco. I'll probably work the Vocoloco back in with some crazier stuff eventually though.
