Oooooh that's good to hear. My Mother shipped today and I'm excited to have a bass amp that has a bit of gain of its own on top of my Darkglass B7K. My Mesa head is clean all the way so my new tone will probably be significantly gainier on that side of my rig. Have you compared the mother with 10s compared to the 15s at all?

I have not, I've only played it through a poopy 15" and the kappa 2x15s. I might get a chance to play through a 4x10 this friday with a backline cab. Will let you know. I definitely was not even taking advantage of all the gain available on the amp so there's plenty of of that to go around.

That's somewhat pointless. Someone who orders one amp one week is not necessarily more likely to get it before someone who orders a different amp a week later. Alex sources transformers from different companies based on each amp and they all have their own wait times. The Mother for example takes longer because he doesn't stock a lot of the transformers and the company that makes them isn't always quick to deliver. My Mother was still a quick build by boutique amp standards. Just took a little longer than my Decolonizer.

Or like when he was making my mother he had the transformers on had but sliced his hand open machining some parts so he was out of commission for a few weeks. Shit happens for a small builder.

Yeah shit happens for sure. Alex is by far the best boutique builder I have ordered gear from in 15 years of playing though. He's quick with communication and delivers on time. Prices are good too!
