Well, I've already read the builder express that he accepts the general desirability of top mounted jacks.

As to whether top mounted jacks can or cannot fit into that exact enclosure model, that has never been my point. I was always talking about the general concept and that general size of enclosure.

I'm English. I don't need "closure".

Dude if you don't like how the pedals are layed out buy a different pedal,
or ask the builder to make you one to the specs that you want.
We are all entitled to our opinions but your coming off as bashing a builder.
$125 is not too shabby for a hand built pedal no mater the size or configuration of the knobs/jacks.

dude, I already went so far as to explain how the concept of this pedal is useful as it is. this thread is not a 'discussion' or a 'debate', it's you insisting that the pedals would be better with top mounted jacks regardless of the merit the current design serves to anyone else. it's like you're saying "this Tubescreamer would be better if it were a Klon, why isn't it a Klon?".

So I picked up a pedal and rotated it 90 degrees but now the switch is on the side and the input/output jacks are verticle and I don't know how to fix it and I'm starting to hyperventilate. I'm going to need some tech support here.

Okay, stay calm. What I need you to do is pick the pedal up, and then rotate it 90 degrees. This is a risky method, as if the pedal is not rotated in the correct direction, it may end up upside-down, but it's the only known fix.
Whilst i'm not a tech myself, i have owned several pedals before, so i pretty much know what i'm talking about.

Hey, thanks for all of the chatter. While I appreciate the fine folks of this forum coming to my defense, I didn't find Ro_S's comments all that offensive. I guess I'm used to people giving me the hairy eyeball look at the idea of a pedal with no knobs. We're all here because we love this $hit, which means we are all opinionated on the subject. So be it.

If I were able to top mount the jacks on these pedals I would. The issue is that I refuse to compromise on the quality of the very important mechanical parts in a pedal - the ones that you use to connect in and out over and over again and the one you use to turn it on and off 1000s of times if not more. I'm using rugged enclosed Switchcraft jacks that can ONLY fit the way I have them, and I actually have to cut parts off of every single one to make it work. Even so, if I top mounted them, the power jack would still have to be on the side. And if I were able to come up with a magical way to top mount the power too, you wouldn't want to push them that close together unless you had really really narrow shoes.

All of that aside, this pedal line is about utility. The compact size and the resulting space savings is a side effect that I do, of course, use as part of my marketing jargon. It's a nice gimmick to grab interest, and it's what got everybody to stop by the booth at NAMM. But the design intent is about taking those few sounds that you just need to be the same every time you hit that switch and providing the assurance that it will be with a hand-made all-analog pedal that holds its own in sound quality. People that walked by the booth at NAMM would grab the little pedals I had out on the edge of the table and comment on how cute they were. Then I would describe the internal controls and set-and-forget philosophy. Then they would want to try them out. Then they would smile and tell me how much they loved the sound and feel of whatever ones happened to float their boats - no more mention of the size or the lack of knobs, just the sound and feel. THAT's Henretta Engineering.

Yeah, those are a bit bigger than mine. That's the box I would likely use for the next line of more complex circuits like delay (everybody asks for a no-knob slapback!!), reverb, flanger, chorus, etc. If top mounted is your most important criterion, then I guess you don't need to look any Mooer!
