If this pedal can have some lo-fi telephone or AM radio type of tone, I'm in!

I've heard good things about those tonecore modules they did so this could be cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was / an updated version of that tone core module they had. Dr Sherman Styxxxx MD had one is pretty cool. I'm sure he can chime in about his impressions.

I wrote to Red Panda a while back (questions about my Particle...) and they mentioned they were working on a bitcrusher pedal in a new housing (extras) so this must be it :)

I almost got one of the tonecores once but didn't want to get a housing with it. Also been looking around a digilofi pedals recently and this looks like a good excuse to get into Red Panda

I have the old tonecore bit module - it's really fun stuff! Did a lot of cool things that I don't usually associate with bitcrushers - funky pitch-ish things and modulation-esque artifacting. I don't have it in front of me, so I can't compare the controls, but I believe that Curt said they'd be tweaking the design a bit for this new version.

If nothing else, the module differed from this standalone version in that the module didn't have a master volume - glad that this one does!

Looking forward to trying this out, big-time!

I've been looking at different bit crushers to add to my board when I do it in the next month or so. I love their Particle so this has me really interested. I hope they put some clips up soon before I decide on something else.

In our FB convo, the Red Panda peeps said that the circuit boards are in manufacturing now, and they hope to ship the first retail batch before the end of August. They also confirmed that the pedal will do the funky sample rate modulation stuff I loved from the first version, as well as expression control!

Total thread derail, but Syl have you checked out the Penny Pedals Radio Deluxe? I picked one up and it is a really inspiring pedal to play. Just filters and resonance, but so many great lo-fi sounds. Super clean though, so you'll have to stack it with a fuzz to get crackly noises. But it loves stacking as well.

I've been hanging out to see the successor to Red Panda's tonecore thinger for ages.

Yep, I've seen the Radio demo... not sure if it's the same as the Radio Deluxe.
I will have to take a look. The Radio seems limited to me.
