I probably should have bought DS2 just because I haven't played a loot driven power fantasy in a while.
My computer is too old to run this.
How old?
Honestly, there's nothing wrong with playing at Low settings, it's probably better so you don't fall into the Hivemind 'PC masterrace' bullshit. I've been playing PC games all my life and only just was able to to utilize a high end rig the past few years. PC is all about shitty graphics.

I have an iMac from 08. It has 2.66 Core 2 Duo and ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB GPU.
It's not that I'm in the PC Masterrace or anything... my shit is just 6 years old. I just can't justify buying a new one right now will house projects and gear lust.
Has anyone seen that silly youtube series for DS2 called "Drunk Souls?" The drinking game that guy made up is the best thing I have ever heard of. You have to actually take a drink whenever your character uses the estus flask. Looks like it makes tense situations....um....more interesting. And hard boss fights......
I'm so hyped for the DLC. Been trying to stay spoiler free all day, but it's so fucking hard. I hear it's an epic spot for invading and trolling people.
3 more hours til I'm off work and can play...

That parkour vid was awesome. It freaks me out watching them jump over a street to land on a tiny angled roof. Nope.
Also, I got my modem to stop cutting out by removing it from its enclosure

Sooooo Dark Souls II DLC is awesome and really fucking hard. I made it to the first fog gate in the crypt and got murdered almost immediately by what was behind it. Had a few invaders and dispatched one almost effortlessly. The small areas with big drops make from some really challenging PVP areas. Overall I'm thinking this is way better than the base game. Can't wait to finish it and see what's in store for the next round of DLC next month.

Excellent news
I'll probably start this weekend. I definitely found the base game to be pretty damn easy (I've played multiple Call of Duty games that were harder) so hearing about the difficulty is welcome news. Wondering if I should just beat the game again first, probably won't be able to wait though. I do need to farm the Dragon Aerie a bit though first.

If you're still in NG, I recommend just finishing the base game and then going onto the DLC as you actually have to activate NG+ from the Majula bonfire after finishing anyway.

I'm in NG+, just got the King's Ring. How do you get to the DLC again?
