Re: Best slapback pedal?
I eventually want a second delay for some crazy space cadet stuff, but right now I need the slap in my life. The Aqua Puss is sounding pretty tempting right now. Ill get a Meet Maude or an Endangered Audio delay or a No Memory or something later on, but right now I need this so I can use my BitQuest for something else.

Aqua Puss has a highly usable range of short delay time, and its brightly voiced repeat excel for slapback even though I prefer darker voicing. I'd still rock it without hesitation.
But my choice for go-to echo/delay should come as no shock. I have to resist shoehorning in the resulting otherworldliness of the extreme settings, but low delay & feedback settings are fun as well. It has a rep for a percussive sound, especially that first repeat. Hard to find one that's more dynamic, but it needs to be experienced firsthand.
It's not something you can absorb from a video demo.

this is the best sounding delay for slapback & slightly longer (think Syd Barrett type echo) i have ever heard. it's super pricey, though. i sold the one i had just because the resale value was too tempting. i miss it, though.neonblack wrote:Endangered Audio delay

Get a sexy Dirge rehouse on it, maybe put in the feedback and extended time mods and the Fab Echo would be a pretty cool choice.
