Guitar stores in Twin Cities, MN?
I'm going to be in St. Paul this weekend for my cousin's wedding and I was wondering if there are any cool guitar shops in the area worth checking out.
Thanks in advance!!

Willie's American Guitars in St Paul is AMAZING for cool vintage stuff & boutique amps. Twin Town Guitars in South Minneapolis is pretty cool too. There is another little shop in West St Paul just off Robert St called Eclipse Music. It's a father/son operation & the son (John, I think?) is a huge pedal dork; so they have a bunch of boutique pedal lines.. They also are the only shop in town to carry stuff like Eastwood & Reverend guitars. Hope this helps!

This should be the first stop on your list. I've yet to visit myself, but you'll thank me.

Hoffman Guitars in the Seward neighborhood in Minneapolis does a lot of custom work and has a few used guitars around but it's a really small place known mostly for their luthiers and not really gear selection.

There's a newerish shop on 46th St & Hennepin called Brockway Strings. He's a grad from the renowned instrument construction & repair program at Southeast Tech in Red Wing, MN. It's somewhat like Hoffman but even smaller, not much retail & really focuses on the repair / custom side of things, but if you're passing thru & need fretwork or neck adjustments he is definitely the man. He's found a niche in that he does a lot of weirdo mod stuff for members (like me) on the more experimental side of the local community. He's at: http://www.brockwaystrings.com/
Great deals with lordgalvar, filipre, seten, DannDubblewe, PumpkinPieces, backwardsvoyager, DADGBD, jwar, JonnyAngle, dandolin, pd~, Dungus, dminner

PS I can second the above post about Eclipse Music in the suburb of West St. Paul (which is the official name of the suburb the store's located in, sorta confusing)

I was only able to check out Eclipse Music, really cool store. I got the chance to play some of those super cool 60's guitars as well as a Supro dual tone, among others. The guy there was a really nice guy and he sure knew his stuff. I'd definitely recommend this store!
Sadly, I won't be able to make it to any of the other stores you guys mentioned. Now I go back to Cleveland, home of one good guitar shop.

I stand corrected, I think it was a Supro Martinique. Either way, very cool guitar
