Good vibes sent! Normal to feel nervous but just keep thinking about great you'll feel physically and mentally after it's over and you're all healed up. I've had a few minor surgeries and this helped to get me thru the waiting. ;)

Modern medicine is amazing. Modern pain management is even better.

I hope the surgery goes well and the recovery goes smoothly!

And then...rock...

I hope all is well before and after surgery! I've been under once and depending on how much they give you and your weight I can say waking up will be a fun memory or horrible nightmare... I slept for a good 12 hours after surgery...

PS... getting my first Devi Ever peddle this christmas!

When I was 13 or so, I had my appendix out. When I woke up in my hospital room, my mom and grandfather were waiting for me. I was really groggy, and my grandfather thought it would be funny to say, "Is your scar as big as mine?" Then, he pulled up his shirt to show a 14-inch scar snaking up his side, from a surgery he had when he was a LOT younger...

I was a little horrified.

It turned out that my scar was about 2 inches. It's funny to look back at now, but at the time...

surgery is scary thing, but you will be alright. you will take a nap and wake up with it all over. sure the recovery is going to be tough, but being the toughie you are it will be no problem. :thumb:

when it is all said and done you will wake up to find you have been given the voice of an angel!

good luck devi, everything will turn out better than you hope it will! :joy:

Devi, best of luck with everything. After having FFS and GRS, I fully understand how big of a step this is. You are in good hands and you will heal well. I'd like to hear before and after voice clips. If I can afford it some day, I may have the same type of surgery.

Having gone under three or so times it never fails to surprise me. You don't remember falling asleep, and you open your eyes seconds later with an "it's over?!?" Having it done and over with is really the easy part! :)

THEN comes the healing! :joy: You'll be a champ, I'm sure! Especially with everyone here covering your throat with positive vibes. :erm: :omg:
