I use an Ikea children's stool. It was super cheap, it's nice and low to the ground for easy knob twiddling, and it's surprisingly sturdy. I weigh a bit over 200 pounds and I've been using this stool for three or four years now.

Haha, my Boy has two of them. I use them with my acoustic quite often. Nice, very Low seating Position. Love it!

Edit: right now i have my Glass of white whine on it. Fuck Yeah, multiple purpose

I too do the cross legged thing but I'm such a skinny rat my backside starts to ache from the floor. Can't do barstools either unless they're the cushy sort. Might like in to a drum stool with a back rest. That'd be rad.

Yeah I was thinking of a drum stool too just so that I could actually stomp on my stomp boxes. But ultimately, I find something really satisfying about sitting cross legged on the ground real close to the speakers and making horrible noises.
