Hardtail bass VI- now complete.

The offset Bass VI, stripped down to its fighting weight...

The details-
Body and neck from Warmoth, finished with tru oil
Stainless steel 6150 jumbo fretwire
Custom wound nickel covered P90s from Mojo Pickups
Staytrem bridge
Circle K bass vi strings (.102 - .024)
Grover 18:1 machine heads
Four-way blade switch (neck, neck&bridge, bridge, mute). No other controls
Handmade scratch plate is handmade. Looks great from a couple of feet away(!)
Battery box in the back if I ever want to add electronics (built in effects coming soonish...)

This beast is tonnes of fun to play, and through my bass set up sounds like a really punchy bass when played on the low strings. Add a little filth and chords up the neck sound rocking and really thick. As for too-much-fuzz-droney-open-string-plus-noodling stuff goes, it firmly dick-punches anything else I've played.
The neck is wide.... not crazy, but too wide to wrap my hand around comfortably (TWSS)... so it will take some work to get used to, but the rewards are high (psychosis inducing 420 haile selassie on holiday to amsterdam high...) so it should work out fine.
All in, it probably cost me what I'd have shelled out for a stock Fender Pawn Shop version, or a Squire plus upgrades.
Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your comments, even if you think it's a travesty :joy:

niiice! i really dig the natural finish/maple board/black pickguard combo, and the shiny p90 covers go really nicely with the hardware. lack of knobs is cool too.
you should put a badass headstock logo on it :thumb:

God damn dude. That is SLAMMIN. Dig that 4th position on the switch for the mute. That's a great idea. Too good.
