Clips, sir. Particularly interested in the octaves setting with the click down/off and some dirt. Modulation on/off would be nice as well.

Re: Electro Harmonix B9
Will try to get some samples done but its on teh board int eh studio wont be there until next week.
I would give these observations.
1) It definitely serves the purpose it was designed for. It sounds just like the organ intended and fills out a 2 guitar band to make it sound way huge. Every band mamber was floored.\
2) but you can't get a few things out of it. You cant get the effect of sliding into a chord.
Strait chords and note sound spot on. so if you want to do the continental psychedelic (96 tears)it nails it. Prince (lets go crazy), Whter shade of pale etc.., big cathedral swells all of it its there .
3) When you start bending you here the digital effect.
4)Down slides are better than up slides.
5) Tracking is very good but you can push too far. It uses all of the processor. When you switch from one organ to another it has a lag to boot it up.
6) Mod and click features are vastly different functions from organ model to organ model so you have to manage the settings when switching from one organ to another. The workable range of these settings is different as well some are usable full range others sound really cheesy and digital in others.. You will need to find settings that work.
7) With dirt it is stupidly great... drives an amp really well and with amp dirt pedal ala catlinbread sft, rah, or les luis choose one it is astounding. With light fuzz you really retain the organ and it has that great Traffic sound but with heavy fuzz the organ sound is lost a bit based on the heavy nature of the effect not bad it is different than a guitar in some respects but there is some loss.

From demoing it Id say it's pretty quick. Hardly noticeable. It's a damn fun device.

Re: Electro Harmonix B9
The holy stain used a pre-programmed digital chip (in like... 2007?) that's kinda more DIY speed than the programmed stuff like the Pogs etc so I wouldn't compare that to any of their other pedals.space6oy wrote:how's its reaction time? any lag to that? that's what sucked about the holy stain...

Re: Electro Harmonix B9
I just played the B9 at GC and gat damn, I didn't think I'd like an organ pedal this much. Mode 9 is worth it by itself. I want to put reverb and delay before it and see how much magic it creates. As far as tracking, its pretty darn good. Compared to the Holy Stain it is 10000000% better.

Welp that cracks it. If PP likes it then it's gotta be worth it.
