It's funny, cause I love my Tall Font Muff to death, but I hadn't really jammed with a bassist while using it, just guitar and a drummer. When Grrface and I got together, I was running the LaoWiz HellDoctor on the BeeBah side into the Tall Font. As soon as I clicked the Tall Font on, I disappeared and all you could hear was Grrface's bass. I've been stacking a 6 band EQ after the Muff ever since, but I need to try it out and see how it does. When I built my Rams Head and added the mids knob, THAT guy cut through awesomely

What's everyone's favorite ice cream flavor?

For boosting: 400 hz and 750 on guitar, 600 on bass. Higher than that doesn't really float my boat.
For cutting: 1200.

Ice cream: number 1 is and always will be chocolate.
2: vanilla with salt liquorice sprinkles, or just liquorice ice cream with a sprinkle of sea salt on top
3: saffron and honey
4: maple syrup and pecan or walnut

If you need don't want to waste space on a non- dirt pedal the Elements will give you some extra tone shaping - three bands, +/- 25 dB, 100 Hz, 400/800/1200 (select), 3000 Hz. Otherwise I really like the MXR 6 band. It's cheap and good. 10 band is overkill unless you know you have problem frequencies you want to get rid of. Empress parametric EQ if you want the Rolls Royce three band option and really want to hone in a certain frequency/frequencies.

But Elements because more fuzz.

I do hate wasting space on non dirt, but would like to play with my clean eq more. Maybe I should get a coliseum (I think they have more mids options) to pair with a 370. With cherries on top. That empress para eq sounds sweet. I def pref para over graph.
Edit: paraeq has 30db boost. That equals dirt in my book.

Also, the helldoctor is amazing. Lau's take on the fm2 completely destroys on bass! It's still one of the only 3 pedals I use live.

There are some cool demos of the para eq on YT. It's actually way more exciting/cool than I expected an eq to be.

I like scooped mids for my clean sounds, but a fair share of mids for gain.

Mids are weird, I think everyone hears them differently. I know folks have complained about the mids not doing much on the Elements, but it does +/- 25 dB.

That difference between cleans/mids is why I initially wanted more mids on The Elements. Then I realized that I could just TURN DOWN the treble and bass and turn up the volume a KILLER mids-heavy tone emerged!

Actually, I sometimes deliberately turn down the mids on a rhythm dirt tone and turn up the treble, so that a rhythm and a lead can coexist without clashing at all, and the lead is in the forefront

220 HZ, the lowest setting on an SVT's mid knob. And, I really like the raspberry truffle flavor from Beth Marie's, though it's been a few years since I've had ice cream, honestly.
