So I've decided 50 watts isn't going to cut it. Love the Sound City, but it definitely compresses too much at high volumes for what I'm looking for (shoulda known, but I definitely don't regret trading for it). Had someone offer me a 1968 Bassman 100 (non-master) for the SS. I've wanted one for a while so I'm tempted. What do you guys think?

That's a pretty cool trade, I had a bassman like that for a while. Be aware though, they compress and get distorted really early as well.

Oh really? I'd heard they were super clean at high volumes, hmm.

Was thinking about getting in touch with this guy actually.

Kinda tempted just to get another Beta or maybe a Concert Lead. I'm so satisfied with my Beta Bass. Just need something to stack it with.

Sad to hear about the Sound City. If I had something worthy of trading I'd maybe consider it. :(

If you can grab that V4 that's what I would do for sure. I just sold my bassman to get one.
