I caved and started Dark Souls 2 as well. You all were right. It's SO GOOD. Especially since I'm a klutz at action games. I'm pretty sure I spend at least 50% of my time (so far) as a zombie man with only 50% health. Fuck it. It's still fun.

Did you play the original version? Did they fix the shitty boss battles? Great game that turned to shit when ever you faced a boss...Andrew wrote:Replaying Deus Ex:HR Directors Cut with the commentary on.
Really interesting stuff, the directors, artists and writers tell you about the development in certain parts of the game.

The bosses are fine enough in the original, hide and spam Frag and EMP Grenades and theres was always environmental objects to use in the fight. The Directors is a lot more balanced, and you can stealth around and activate turrets.

Got Dynasty Warriors 8: XTREME LEGENDS RAAAHHHHHHHHH
Dude, so good. I haven't played a DW since 4 and back then we were all addicted to the glorious beat 'em up action. The horrible slowdown due to so many enemies being on split-screen wasn't seen as a flaw, it was a cool slow-motion thing that helped us aim and plan our tactics better.
It's endearing how the environmental textures still look like they're from the PS2 days and the voice acting is still B-grade

Yeah. I don't know why, but the dramatic change in game play when you came on the bosses drove me insane. I ended up putting the game down because of it. Love the game/universe, and hope there is one coming out for next-gen soon.Andrew wrote: Both versions atleast twice.

Same. I never finished the game, because I got stuck at the lady boss with a completely stealth build.Hyphen Nation wrote:Yeah. Re: The Video Game thread
i'd read how that was a problem, that the game was designed as a Build A Character To Play The Way You Want To Play, until the bosses. then if you weren't a gun warrior class you were FUCKED.
"like... PROPER fucked? eh English?"
annnnnd i kinda hate stealthy shits. i just don't have the patience. sooooo.... yeah. i loved the game 'cause i just shot the fuck butts out of everything.
MADE THEM ALL MY BULLET RIDDEN LITTLE GRRLS.

Re: The Video Game thread
Has anyone actually got a PS4? I really want to play Metal Gear V: Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain. But I've got a shitty TV and can't really think of anything else on the PS4 worth having.
Having recently replayed MGS2 and 3 on the Vita, I need my fix.

There's not really enough for me to warrant buying one yet, personally. My plan is to aim for one those dope ass white PS4 Destiny bundles in September.
Phantom Pain isn't coming out until late next year, right?

Re: The Video Game thread
I'm both glad and disappointed that all the games that i've bought on the steam sale are just terrible. Atleast 3 of the 4 games are just shitty PC ports that won't work properly and are full of bugs. Sturgeon's Law is totally a thing.
I'm not done with gaming, it just sucks I find myself replaying the games that I adore and get buyers remorse with everything else.
EDIT:
I do have a cold and am on medication,s o thats probably why im joyless.
