Harmony Central is a great resource for a lot of things... Of all the websites that I've visited over the years, HC is probably one of the top three that I've visited repeatedly. They've got a decent b/s/t, peer reviews for just about anything you're looking for, and tons of resources for new musicians.
It's a staple of the internet, as it relates to musicians and I suppose that's why most people hate on it.
Myself, I try to see things for what they are and to me, Harmony Central - though not the best site on the interweb - is still a pretty kick ass e-place.
