Anyone using

Post by in2thegapagain85 »

Anybody out there using a buffer in their signal chain? I've heard people say they can work magic on your guitar signal over long cable/pedal runs, just wondering if anybody uses one.

I use my fromel shape EQ and malekko e600d as buffers (they are selectable which is a plus if there is ever a need to turn them off).
I've got a fairly large board so I think it helps, an all TB board will have signal loss.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

I've used my Hi five as a buffer and it can clear up the mud in a long signal chain, I can definitely hear a noticeable increase in note clarity in chords.

I've got my TU-2 pretty much at the end of my chain, mostly because it fucks with my gated/oscillating fuzzes, but I guess it provides a good buffer too...

I think my headrush acts as a buffer too? :?:

I run a Boss BD-2 with the gain turned down as a clean boost, and it acts as a buffer. If i replace it with a true-bypass pedal my signal loses all it's oomph.
