how do i create a circuit schematic diagram? free programe?

I want to be able to produce a nice looking circuit diagram.

I want to generate a circuit diagram - both for a tagboard design AND a general schematic diagram.

Is there some free programme or software I can get online?

Sorry, but I am new to all this sort of thing. Any help much appreciated.

Eagle CAD and Express are two I know off the top of my head

I'd vote for eagle cad too. You can even get PCBs printed for you at many fab houses like OSHPark for a reasonable price.
