digitech drop
looks pretty cool. could turn out to be a cheap micropog alternative if the price is right, and it seems like it'll be a good substitute for the malekko i always wanted:

I'd be giving that the ol' DW or Acid Splash treatment for sure.

There's also the Detune, which interests me a bit more. I've never had a Whammy, but I'm curious how these specialized pedz measure up to the Whammy.

I wish it did two down as well. Cool box. 249.99 map. Hopefully it'll be cheaper then the whammy by at least 80 dollars.

Detune is a fun sounding but seriously limited chorus function that, if you're anything like me, will make you wish you had, like, two extra controls (and I'm usually all about keeping shit as simple as possible).chuckjaywalk wrote:There's also the Detune, which interests me a bit more. I'm pretty sure it sounds the same as a Whammy V with the toe downskullservant wrote:Kind of want to hear this.

Re: digitech drop
I think a Freeze with an effects loop (or a Super Ego) with the Drop or the Luxe would be awesome! And is actually something I've wanted to do, I just didn't want to spend the money on a Whammy that sits in an effects loop.

Re: digitech drop
IMO the Polytope is the be-all and end-all of detune pedals. I loved the sound of the whammy detune but the polytope has control over everything that makes the limited-ness of the whammy annoying, so unless this digitech is waaaay cheaper I wouldn't really bother.D.o.S. wrote:Detune is a fun sounding but seriously limited chorus function that, if you're anything like me, will make you wish you had, like, two extra controls (and I'm usually all about keeping shit as simple as possible).chuckjaywalk wrote:There's also the Detune, which interests me a bit more.
