Suposedly the 1]earlier 120 were better than the 150 versions. Id love to try the 300 BV too but ive never tried one

Truth there.
Amorphorous? (Aaron) has the 300 watt and digs it. Red Cloud are def not black metal and have some rad sounding gear so I'd take his word for it sounding good.

The 300 is supposed to be quite good......but i wouldnt spend 800ish on one like ebay seems to think they are worth

Not even good for black metal. it was particularly shitty for even black metal.

Though Mine wasn't the 300watt version so maybe that one isn't fucking shit.

My friends is the 120W. he recently had it recapped with SOZOs and it sounds even better. Its tubed with JJ 6L6 and ECC83s. Also its the second gen so it doesnt have the cartoonish front panel.

Well I'm glad someone has found some good with them. Mine was first gen, and I thought I was making a good purchase. I ended up trading it for my Ampeg SS150 which led me to keep buying Ampeg SS's for years after.

I'm honestly still kinda stunned that this happened I'm pretty in love with it. It plays very well with the Beta. Its EQ is super sensitive and very dynamic, but most importantly it has those mean low mids I live for. Just need to replace the speakers on my 2x12 or just pull the trigger on another 4x12. For now I'm just gonna bask in the glory though
