I've just ordered a 1448, and since you play one I wanted to ask : what size strings do you use on it?
Is it safe to put 11's on there? Or is the neck to frail?

Ok so you use 13s? Goood to know that the neck can take it. Probably putting some 12s on there.

Maybe Im mixing it with Danolectro where the neck sometimes bend?

Yeah, 13s no problem on the two I own. There are two truss rods in the neck to help keep it straight, plus the micro-tilt adjustment to fine tune. Congrats!

The Belle Epoch is pretty cool but do you have the Echorec UG? That pedal is truly amazing.

Yeah I have an EP-2 and was hoping the Belle Epoch might capture enough of the spirit to take it on the road instead of the EP-2. It doesn't really, and i know its based on the solid state EP-3 but figured it was worth a shot. Not sure if i'll keep it cause it really doesn't sound bad, its grittyness is pretty lovely sounding and it handles heavy noise really well.

Whoops misread your post. No I don't have an echorec, I went with the Infanem small echo array. Really great pedal too, gets close to my binson model 2. I'm on the fence about digital emulation of analog sounds. Seems they can get certain things pretty right, but maybe not the things I like about the original.

Agreed about the Belle Epoch. Really nice sounding delay in a small package but I let mine go in the end.

The Echorec is different of course, more rhythmic in nature, but very sweet sounding. Lots of variety too with all the different playback configuration settings. You should try one out. The Infanem is cool too but quite a bit noisier than the Echorec.

Question...is it safe to run the Belle Epoch at 18v? Has anyone done so? Does it enhance the parameters, modulation in particular? Thanks anybodies
