Anyone into KORG DS?

Post by skullservant »

Sold off my modular cause I wasn't using it very often, but needed to record some noise recently and remembered that I had my trusty Korg cartridge for my DS.

Anyone else into it??

yes!! korg ds10000000. i think PP uses one too.

m01 cart is tight too. i like that u can make longer sequences on it. and the m1 is like 90s classic keyboard so u know about them stabs!!

if u get the microSD cartridge u can DL all the games, emulators, roms u want. theres even a few home-brew apps that are pretty neat. proteinDS is one off the top of my head.

I use DS-10, and I love it. Sounds better than some real analog keys I've had. It's no toy. I even play live with just a DS sometimes. It definitely has it's limitations, but you find creative ways to work around them. The DS-10 Plus version is worth the upgrade if you have a DSi or better.

I am all about the Korg DS10. The plus version is all I need to compose synth jams. There is a reason it took me so long to get my first analog synth. The DS-10+ suits my writing style very well. I swear everytime I come back to it I find something new. Only gripe is I need more memory for projects. My favorite tune I created:

And here is my page I made dedicated to the regular DS-10. :joy:

i got mine a long time ago, so i'm not really sure how that route goes now. mine works really well. its like an R4 or something if thats even still a thing.
i do remember there being fakes or bunk ones.

i think what i did was i found a site thru some DS forum where a good number of ppl said they had success with theirs.

a cool thing w/ the DS10 is that you can just put multiple roms on your card with different names when u run out of song spaces on one.

i love the drum synths on that thing

So I've been running this on an emulator for the last couple hours.
I can't get over how awesome and robust it is.

Are you using the emulator on the ds card or on your pc? If the later, how?

Just on my laptop to try it out.
I have a DS emulator and then downloaded the Korg DS-10 ROM, it was super simple.
I can't recall the name of my emulator, I'll let you know when I get home, but it's really nice.
