Favorite octave device (UP/DOWN/OTHERWISE)?
I was playing Catalinbread Perseus the other day. (Which I think sounds pretty tasty.)

I don't know how it compares, but I really enjoy the fOXX tone machine, also the creepy fingers pink elephant. the infanem analogue harmony synth is full of neat too, but that might be other level octave device.

My LaoWiz FTM clone with footswitchable octave is killer, goes really nuts and in your face but retains a nice low end thickness.
Infanem Second Voice is uniquely awesome, unlike anything I've ever owned.
ss/bs Buzzz is fantastic too. Tons of different sounds and settings, great on guitar or bass, feature heavy with a simple layout.
The Octasynth gets nuts.
Otherwise I typically pair my POG with whatever fuzz/dirt
I'm feeling at the time.

Second Voice is killer.
I have Buzzz waiting for me at home and Im stuck at work. Sad day. I cant wait for some octave action.
Unpleasant Surprise has a nice octave up tucked away in there. The BitQuest seemed to have a pretty decent pitch shifter. Ill find out next week

The Upper always sounds great.
Particle does cool octave up things, the mode where the pitch shifted signal has a trem effect is really awesome.

Bit Commander for me. It would be nice to have more control over the dirt/tone but for how i use it it doesn't really matter. I like having the octave down at 10, dry around 7 and octave up around 3 for phat synthy madness.
For clean octaves though, I liked the Boss PS-6, and the Whammy V was pretty good too.

Copilot mantis ii.
Brutal, huge sounds. Sounds great with chorus for cheesy synth sounds.
