Yeah, if you have to drill new string through holes I would try it without the warmoth saddles first too. Threaded saddles is a nice idea indeed and if it works well with the intonation it's a very clean solution!

I guess we will find out here in a few days. Hoping the bridge makes it here by Saturday so that I can start taking a look at how it's gonna come together

Re: My final hat trick! Telebird 12 string!
Was talking with my dad a little bit last night about sand paper and finishing.
I think he convinced me to do rub-on poly instead of tru oil. I'll probably take some 0000 wool to it after the final coat to cut the gloss, even if I end up doing semi-gloss.
Secondly, if I can harvest enough money, I'm thinking about getting the neck finished from Warmoth instead of leaving it raw. While I love raw necks, having a sealed neck will probably make me feel a little bit better. Plus its only $70

I figured it'll seal the grain better than oil. My Telemaster is a bit soft to the touch on the body. Unless of course it's a bigger mess, cause in that case I would probably prefer oil

Rub on poly is easy to use and not messy. I've never used it on a guitar but on various little woodworking/furniture projects i've always been happy with it. It doesn't go on super thick though, I don't think it will do much to seal the grain unless you use a lot of coats. (I usually stop at 2-4 coats when i've used it and you can still feel the grain and natural feel of the wood through it)

That's great to hear! I might give it a shot then. We will see.
Ordered the neck today, specs:
Warmoth '65 12 string neck
25-1/2"
Maple neck and Maple fretboard
1-3/4" nut width
Standard thin back shape
6105 Fretwire
Vintage style tuner ream
10-16" compound radius
22 frets
Black face and side dots
Black TUSQ XL nut with octave strings above
Clear satin nitro finish on the neck
Should have it in about a month apparently. Will give me plenty of time to get the body finished

Got the control plate and routed it out.
Would have preferred to have the pickup selector behind the volume knob but whatever. This'll do, and if I hate it enough I'll make a new one

150 grit sanding/shaping almost done. The lower left horn (longest bit that sits under arm) needed to be rounded around the edges a decent bit so it wasn't jagged, but that was the only major 'shaping' that I did.
Might do a little bit more smoothing of that horn before I up the grit
