I want a jangly bridge pickup - HUMBUCKER SIZED

Post by kbit »

I have a Duncan HB101 with coil tapping in the neck of my 335 style guit and I love the way it sounds, but the bridge pickup is too twangy for my taste. I want some bity jangles in the bridge. What are my options? p90s? Lipsticks? I think switching to flatwound stings might help me out, too....

I don't exactly know what you mean with jangly v.s. twangy but a Filtertron from TV Jones or Lollar maybe?
I have a TV Jones Classic Plus in the bridge of my Gibson ES335 and it rocks the shit out of everything.

Hmm, recordings, maybe, I have to take a look because I don't have them here and usually I'm not sure which guitar I used for what but I might be able to dig something up.
It could take a while but I'll let you know.

TV Jones or one of the GFS Retrotrons. I can't recommend the Surf 90 enough.

I really liked a Dream 180 in the bridge for jangliness.
