Need help identifying a fuzz!

Post by Confuzzled »

Hi all,

I've had this fuzz for close to 30 years. Don't remember where I got it from. There are no markings on the pedal for the mfr. The pots on the inside only have a "made in japan" marking. Nothing printed on the back of the pedal either.

You're welcome, Confuzzled. Your gut shots are better than the ones on eBay.

Pretty sweet Japanese Fuzz Face knockoff.

If you take a look at that eBay auction, they have pics of the original sticker on the pedal.

Yeah, have sen these before. Clear nod visually to the Fuzz Face. There seems to be uncertainty whether Shin-ei or Guyatone built them. This particular version may be the one that was sold via Sears catalogue. An OEM version.

Thanks! It's the retentive designer in me that likes to post a nice pic.
