Good Amp/Cabinet stand?

Post by BassIsBad »

Hey, so I need to buy a stand for my bass cab for sound projection reasons, but I don't want to buy a piece of shit... Do any of you guys have amp stands that you would recommend? I was thinking of getting the Proline one.

Let me know! Thanks.

Cab size/type/etc are necessary for meaningful suggestions!

Would help also if you describe what type of projection you're looking for - off the floor, way off the floor, angled, etc.

ive come up with a design
it tilts back
it swivels
its about 18" from the ground
perfect for a 210 or 212 combo
i have yet to build it

I have a 410 cab, about 70 lbs. I'd like it to be fairly far off the ground, but I like to put my head on top of the cab, so an angle wouldn't really work well.

Hmm..not sure how many options there are out there.

Most of the stands are for amps and angled. I have one for my Deluxe, and it works well but there's no way it'd fly with a 4x10 as I'd hate to wrest it up on there and well, angled.

Best way to get it 'Fairly' off the ground would be put another cab under it IMO!

yeah you need an 8x10.

you could find something cheap to use as a road case for the head (i got the thing pictured below at Target for less than $20), then set everything on top of that.

Don't buy an amp stand dude, just get casters, they work very well.

Your bass response will be much better with the cab on/close to the floor.
