Some dingbat previous owner spraypainted it, along with the headstock. He also put a dimarzio humbucker in it. It's a bizarre guitar to say the least but it is actually very nice!

Ha. I think switching out the pickups is a common mod on those.
I used to have an L6S that someone had ripped the wiring out of and installed a couple super hot humbuckers in.

Saw this band Ex Cult play on Friday night, and one of the guitar players was playing an S-1. Sweet guitar.
