Pitch Vibrato..

Post by myrrh »

Im currently going half crazy trying to find a pitch vibrato that IS NOT malekko, behringer or used expensive boss.
I really want the mid fi pitch pirate but that seems hard to find?

And pretty much all I find is stupid chorusy vibes which doesnt interest me at all.

Any tips?

I hear the Polytope can do pitch vibrato and much more. That's what I would get.

well, any delay that you can set 100% wet and LFO the delay time is going to give you a true (pitch) vibrato
you might be able to defeat the dry line on some choruses as well (that's really what chorus is a modulated delay mixed with dry)

Ring Thing can do pitchvibe (along with a dozen other things). Its pitch shifting algorithm isn't the best though - it kills your attack. I still love it.

Then there's the mighty Warped Vinyl.

Oh Warped Vinyl! A bit expensive though..
Also the Zvex Instant Lofi seems like it can do both the Vibe stuff and the pitch Vibrato stuff?

If you want a vibe and a pitch vibrato then I'd say get a vibe with a vibrato switch, I have the MG Music Mono Vibe and apart from being a great vibe the pitch vibrato on it is fucking awesome too. :)

I use a Small Clone with the dry signal bypassed, kind of dark but I like it. Remove R18

BBE Mind Bender is an awesome one, and the EHX Stereo Clone Theory also has a pitch vibe mode.

Vibrato mode of a Lovetone Doppelgänger or clone. Or damn, that Warped Vinyl. Wish I had never heard the demos, that thing sounds so damned good.

The polytope sounded a bit too chorusy for my taste.

So far the Instant Lo Fi Junky sounds best too me, apart from the warped vinyl which I cant afford...
