Re: Vox Repeat Percussion Style Tremolos
what's the problem? it isn't that 'deep'. it's far shorter in depth than many ppl's signatures which are annoying long.univalve wrote:@Ro_S: would you please slim down your advertisment signature a bit? Thanks in advance.

Yes, but many people have annoyingly long text based signatures.Ro_S wrote:what's the problem? it isn't that 'deep'. it's far shorter in depth than many ppl's signatures which are annoying long.univalve wrote:@Ro_S: would you please slim down your advertisment signature a bit? Thanks in advance.
Yours is a giant block of images. It breaks up the flow of a thread more so than text.
Also, many people's signatures are inane. Yours is an advertisement.

Re: Vox Repeat Percussion Style Tremolos
Tried the reverse sawtooth on my Tap a Whirl and while it's close it doesn't seem quite as dramatic as the repeat percussion stuff on the youtube videos. But then that could just be my stupid ears. It's hard to make a judgement without actually having one to a/b. Thanks for all the suggestions, there's some really interesting pedals to look through. I'm also thinking about just building my own. Seems like it could be a fun project.

Yeah, you should build your own. I've got a Creepy Fingers built one and it sounds awesome.

Re: Vox Repeat Percussion Style Tremolos
I don't know much of anything about circuits, but whatever trem is in the Magnus Modulus build can get a pretty convincing Vox chop!
(and I know because I just discovered it by accident after owning this pedal for about five years...)
/
:edit: Apparently it's based on the Tremulous Lune.

That Electrochop does sound pretty good. I think Magnetic Effects dude is friends with Tim from Fredric Effects.Jero wrote:That looks pretty cool. Never heard of them before either. Now I want their Double Featurecheesecats wrote:you may also want to look into the magnetic effects electrochop

What settings are necessary to achieve that kind of effect?Bellyheart wrote:Zvex sonar also achieves this well. And many more. You had the ability to set the wave shape and the onset of it. Did repeat percussion perfectly and much more.

If you check out the alternate knob functions one is the first half the ramp setting another is the second half. His website has the manual and a good explanation. I truly miss that thing. Traded for a gnomeratron and not sure if I made the right choice.

Yeah, I like my Sonar a lot although I haven't really experimented enough with it yet. Is the duty setting important?Bellyheart wrote:If you check out the alternate knob functions one is the first half the ramp setting another is the second half. Already got some good options listed here (the Creepy and the Magnetic Effects would both be ace) but here's another: http://www.reusseffects.com/products/re ... eater-fuzz

Vox Repeat trem with fuzz for $120.

No problem on my side: welcome to my ignore list.
