I was mostly responding to the transphobic fellow I quoted. He doesn't give a fuck about you losing money, he only mentioned it to make what he wanted to say relavant to this thread. He can't stand a trans woman being confident with their body and posting images of it on twitter. And it makes him uncomfortable that she is trying to find an alternate way to live through the internet and game design.

You can hate on Devi all you want for the Console, but don't be a transphobic fuck about it.

I read the comments you mentioned pretty much the same way but had doubts, therefore didn't voice my concerns. Idk, I know I've grown overly sensitive on the matter due, so that's probably me.

They posted it and then said that she is falling apart at the seams. Thats the part that concerns me. If being proud of your body and trying to make money is falling apart at the seams then what the fuck is normal?

They did not "just say what was going on" they're implying what she is doing is a sign of bad mental health. And if you think subtle shit like that doesn't matter, then cool. I am still going to point it out. I'll make it an issue if I think it is an issue because whether I am wrong or right it needs to be discussed so someone can learn something. Be it me or you.

Good point. I run across a lot of activist shit on tumblr, hard to avoid it no matter who you follow. Maybe I put my own false interpretation upon that persons post. It does seem like they don't approve of what she is doing though. Which is odd, because posting soft core twitter photos of yourself and asking for donations to support becoming a game designer doesn't give me the impression of falling apart at the seams.

Sometimes being uber-PC means jumping to unwarranted conclusions about people and branding them with hateful terms without clear evidence of their motivation. I hope that's not what is happening here. Honestly, if I knew someone who used to own a successful business and they were now trading nude pics for cash online, I would worry about their stability and well-being, no matter their gender.

That said, I don't really know what is going on out there. I don't follow anything devi does anymore because it did become rather depressing, with the string of shutdown websites, dramatic messageboard blow-ups, and abandoned projects. I wish her the best. I really do. She was a nice person to deal with back in the day and I hope everything works out for her in the end.

It was in one of the video game kick starters I think. It wasn't explicitly "Give me money and I'll send you nudes" but one of the rewards was something along the lines of "Give me money and I'll send you pics of any part of my body". To be honest that coming apart at the seems comment was right on the money. I mean having a decent pedal business, blowing a kickstarter and then selling pics of yourself to fund your next venture fits that bill.
