Possibly Best Gear Demo Video?

Post by modernage »

I'm sure we can all agree that 97.4% of the demo videos out there are useless in showcasing the pedal/guitar/amp in a way that is appealing to our tastes and playing style. As much as I love David Gilmour's tone, I don't necessarily want to hear the solo from Comfortably Numb every time someone is showing off a $400 boutique muff rip-off. Same thing with Hendrix, SRV, ______, fill in the blank. All great guitarists. Just not even close to how I play guitar.

Some demos are entertaining or informational (ie: gearmandude, Aen, PGS, that guy that sounds like a French porn star), but there are few that get me excited like the following...

This video sold me on Catalinbread and on the DLS!

EDIT: What are some of your favorite gear videos?

THE BEST. I don't care if the audio doesn't match up with the video, this is awesome.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

I'm a huge fan of these...

And anything that black haired guy from gearwire does. For some reason he could be talking about a toaster and I'd watch every second of it multiple times.

Oh, c'mon now PP. We all know that yours are the best. These guys are just competing for runner-up.

Haha, that's only because Aen's beard rocks so hard. He could probably get away with transposing Kenny G tunes to the guitar and still rock. But if he ever shaves his beard off and tries that he'll probably get beat up. A word to the wise. Learn from Samson.

But come one, you'll always hold a special place in my heart. I'll always have the back of a fellow Michigander!!! Great Lakes, Great Times!!!!!

When I got my Jazzmaster the first "song" I played was this demo through my Dirty Little Secret. It sounded spot on
