Thanks guys!

Pedals and drums aren't an issue at the moment. I'll just run a couple of fuzzes with batteries and I'm building a little drum kit I can play with my feet.

I'll check out the pipe amp and the Pignose.

I had a Crate Taxi (the black model, not the gaudy yellow thing) as my portable amp for years for playing outside in the summer at reasonableish volumes.

Worked well, had a marine/mower 12v in it so it was stable and had a ton of juice for an extended period of time - measured in hours of use. I didn't ever run it dry using it a day or so at a time. Wasn't the greatest guitar amp on earth but with pedals worked just fine and had headroom, which some of the other options didn't.

There's a lot more out there these days, but if you can find a used Taxi cheap somewhere, they do work.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

MLC has some bat shit videos as well.
Burgs has some videos that sound somewhat more... restrained.

The pipe amp seems a little fuzzy for me. I'd like something clean so I can have a choice of tones.

The Pignose looks best but it's expensive!

I'm thinking maybe the ZT Lunchbox Jr and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-6800mAh-R ... 3cdc7c7b7c as a rechargable Li-ion powerpack.

Anyone have experience with the ZT JR?

if ur gunna use a battery, take a gander at the anker ones. they do 12v and have 2-3 times more mAh than the one u linked to.

I have a few anker batterys and they are top notch.

One not-so conventional, yet very effective approach:

Guitar > peds > tech21 sansamp or pod or whatever amp modeler that rock yer boat > Makita/DeWalt radio.

Those Li-ion batteries last for longer than you can, and those radios are way more heavy duty than any little pignose style rig.

Those radios aren't cheap either, but they're handy to have around the house. I use mine all the time in my yard, when I'm bbq'ing or whatever. Loud and solid, and works decent with an amp sim. A little more gettho than a real tube amp, but it's portable, convenient and low on power consumption.

I haven't taken the ZT Jr. busking but it's a fine clean amp. It gets plenty loud for around the house. Works fine with pedals.

That's like posting about tea in a coffee thread.
I'll see myself out.
Maybe I'm just used to what it's like down on the Las Vegas Strip or Fremont, but acoustic guitars un-amplified get drowned the fuck out by the volume of people and other street performers. The louder you are, the more money you make.
