It wasn't a wasted day then. That was awesome. This site rocks. You guys have turned me on to some really cool music I might not of otherwise heard. Indian Handcrafts was another cool group I discovered here among others.

Removing the diffusers helped tremendously but there is still a slight buzz. I am not sure if it is the lights or possible the circuit box or telephone box as they are both metal and the buzz seems to be coming from that side of the room. More investigation or less toanz needed.

OK, Nora, here's my little contribution to this thread:

If that doesn't inspire somebody to get a wah, I don't know what will.

I like it.

See, all you really ever hear is the typical wankery stuff. You are using it much differently so it is officially on the radar. Any help on what kind to get/what features I should look for? I've looked at them before and there seem to be a ton of options. Which one work well with fuzz, noise, etc?

Thanks.

Just listen to a lot of demos to get a sense of what you may want in terms of sound. Also, depends on what features you may want. There are a ton of options.

I was using a Musonic wah in that clip. I tend to like wahs with long throws. The Musonic is similar to a Colorsound, which also has a longer throw compared to a Crybaby/Vox style wah. I like using wahs for filter sweep type effects. Long throw wahs work well for that.

Also, look at the LAL Cyber Psychic. It can do wah sounds as well as other filtery things.

Yea, wah doesn't have to be Kirk Fucking Hammett Hendrix all day.

I can't really use one any more with bum foot/legs but...they come in handy in the toolbox.
