I wish, but let's play a game.

PELHAM BLUE SGs, no min-e-tune, Lyre vibratos. Fuck it just make the Elliot Easton and Jeff Tweedy SGs again. I don't care if ebony or curacao de negreo boards are used but they need to be super dark boards (and not counter top material).

I love Pelham but I gotta say that the Blue Mist of the Tweedy looks even better to me side by side. Darker and deeper but still sports a nice metallic sheen. I love the visible grain in that finish too, looks bad ass.

The Tweedy's pop up pretty regular on ebay and reverb but usually go around $1600+ which blows. I found one locally for $1400 and considered it a steal relatively speaking. There's one at Merillon Guitars currently described as "like new" condition for $1950. I imagine they'd move on that price a bit. Fretboard on this one is real dark.

What about other brands that do the in between thing, like a PRS at 25", or even Godin or Reverend?

I by no means am trying to be a dick, but I think that's Honey Burst, Ice Tea has a slight red color, like a very soft cherry burst. Just ant to make sure you pick the right color when you go to buy :thumb:

Honey Burst was my favorite Gibson color as a kid.

The blue mist was stellar looking as well, I would go for either in a heartbeat. Pretty unfortunate about the price of those Tweedy's, the whole point of buying a used Gibson is to avoid the insane cost of new Gibsons. Let alone paying way more than their original retail.

No, I think your right. My bass is actually a honeyburst as well. I'm just going off the Gibson site description. Probably a bad move.

This thread is igniting SG gas for me I love how SGs look and feel. I wish you could still get SG body blanks from Warmoth but I think they removed the option. I'd love to get an SG with P90s or coil tapping and a Jazzmaster vibrato

All American II is pretty fendery. My friend used to have a similar one in black.
