Backing this. I just got one and used it the other night, haven't even sit down and worked out how to chain stuff yet but it's already impressing the hell out of me.
yours replaced an m5 right dase? i am seriously considering it, or the 50, but theres a few specific filters i love on the m5
they fuckin sell these at harvey norman

hahahaha do they? Awesome. And yeah but it doesn't do filters, true. To be honest I never really hung with the M5.
Look at the MS-100BT if you want more of a do-it-all box. Dirt, comp, filters, fake synths, non-chorus modulation, as well as chorus, delay, reverb. You can get 10 of the fancy 70CDR sounds as free upgrades, and about 20 more as paid, as well as a bunch of amp, pedal, and compressor sounds available as paid. I've stuck to the free stuff beyond the pedal purchase and just with that the pedal can do a lot, a lot of it very nicely. (In the US, Samash is the hookup--they're liquidating all their Zoom stuff and ceasing being a dealer, so deep discounts. Additional 10% off code in email if you register your info before you buy, too.)

any idea on the differences between the MS-100BT and the MS 50G?
apart from the bluetoothing, can you add new effect on the 50G via usb?

highly considering getting the 50G doing a shootout with the m5 and selling the loser

The MS100BT is better, it is more complete and you can add more effect via buetooth.

Generally agree, but some specifics: 50G is mono-in/stereo-out where the 100BT and 70CDR are stereo in/out. The 50G only gets additional sounds via firmware update. Recent one was apparently substantial, apparently getting at least close to the stock roster of 100BT sounds. 100BT has an app store with some free sounds and more paid sounds, including bass amp sims and effects. (You can mess with the app without having a pedal if you want to scout out the options.

I think the 50G can do the preset-cycling trick the 100BT does where you can arrange your patches in order, but I recommend checking Zoom's site for full details.

The big bonus of any of the Zooms over the M5 is gonna be effect chaining. I remember this being an issue between the M5 and the M9 when the M5 came out, with a lot of folks saying that in their experience effects chaining on the M9 was stronger than individual patches.

The standard sounds in the 100BT seem okay to very good. The Line6/Eventide/Strymon sims are really cool, and though I can't say how well they compare, they definitely relieve GAS for the more expensive stuff.

Behringer BSY 600. Most fun and features you can have for 50 bucks.
