Would make sense. Given the whole brown note thing.Chankgeez wrote:Achtane wrote:ELECTRONIC ENEMA DANCE MUSIC (EEDM)Chankgeez wrote:How can you even tell what it actually sounds like from that clip?Achtane wrote:I feel like the name of this is way cooler than the pedlol actually sounds.
Also, the name would be even more way cooler if it were "Anal Shockwave Generator"

I had a Meatbox shortly after I joined the forum. I used it regularly, and I DID end up blowing a 15 with it running 200w and the Meatbox into it.neonblack wrote:Man. I bet it's really easy to blow a speaker with one if these. Someone had a meatbox up in the classified either here or on TB, but it only worked half the time apparently. I thought about getting it and having someone fix it, or rehouse it but I wasn't sure if it was worth the trouble.
I remember the Meatbox was awesome for direct recording. It RULED in that aspect.
I guess that I should also note that I never used it like Juan uses it, dimed. It just got ridiculous cranked. I usually kept the blend fairly low, and the subs fairly high. Just put it right in your chest

Im guessing Juan can get away with cranking it because he's playing arenas and shit. I sent the guy that has one in the bst a message with some trade bait, but no response yet. Dan said he could fix whatever is wrong with it. I figure if I can get it for a reasonable price, get it working properly, and use it responsibly, it will be worth it. I do need to be careful though. I almost blew a speaker with Chankgeez's Xerograph the other day.
I was hoping to use the meatbox to fatten up some other pedals, and then occasionally for those shit-your-pants sub assaults.

I have a mantic density hulk, which is like a cleaner meatbox. A limiter at the end of the chain certainly helps prevent the speaker crushing subs. Definitely need to adjust it based on the rig. My fearful 15/6/1 will blur your vision when it's dimed. My fender rumble stack would burst in flames if I tried the same. It's definitely most pronounced in a limited range on the bass. Like 7th fret E on the A string to the 14th fret E on the D String. Those are just such powerful money notes. The rest of the range feels like a normal analog octave.
