Gibson don't make a guitar with a 25.5 scale, but I can tell you for a fact that the only Gibson I've ever played that feels anything like a Fender (and I've played a few) is a reverse-body Firebird. Still Gibson scale, but for some reason a Firebird just FEELS longer, maybe because of the length of the headstock or the neck-through-body design. The radius of the fretboard will be flatter than a Fender (Gibsons always are) but it won't feel a million miles away. I can switch from my Firebird to my Jazzmaster without skipping a beat. And if you get vintage-spec Firebird pickups (as opposed to the high output ceramic shit Gibson puts in all new Firebirds), it'll SOUND more like a Fender than any other Gibson guitar. There's a Tele-like sweetness to proper Firebird pups - one of my favourite sounds of all time.
If you really want to go OTT, Mike Lull makes an amazing Firebird copy with a 25.5 scale, 12" radius and vintage-spec Lollar pups: http://www.mikelull.com/site/instrument ... ar-FX.html

This model looks a little more Gibsonish with the LP pickguard.

Studiogears has a B-Stock for $379:

Dayumn...

Not that it's a real option for me, but that blue 25.5 firebird...Just dayumn

That G&L tele is worth checking out as well. Slim chance of finding that exact model anywhere near me, but it sure looks sweet.

SG's can be a great option. Their necks always feel a lot longer than my LP. If you like 25.5 but need to tune it maybe just build a custom Warmoth jobby?

Pretty sure RD's had a 25.5" scale lenght, if that's what you are looking for?

Vintage RD's def have a 25.5" scale. Most of the reissues are back to
24.75" for some reason.

Maton uses 25.5" set necks on most their electrics but they don't come cheap.

My point exactly. Some people claim the difference in scale lenght is hardly noticable, but I still bet that I'd like the feel of a 25.5" SG a lot more.

The RD is indeed an excpetion to that Gibson concept. Too bad it's not exactly easy to find used RD's, or that they're verry em...'conventional' looking:s

I thought about the Warmoth route, but they don't seem to offer any parts for a set neck build.

The closest I came to really really liking a gibson guitar, even though not at all in the same way as I like my fenders...:
ES-335. A decent but cheapish 335 clone is also still on my wish list, in case I can't find the long scale sg of my dreams:)

My friend has one of these and it's pretty awesome, especially for the cost. It's far more versatile than I imagined. So if your looking for a possible Gibson sound, I think you could find it with a HH Tele. Is the Fender aspect your wanting the scale length?

This is the most Fender'y Gibson I know of that is currently produced.

Could even switch the pickups to P90's.

Till now I've been looking for fenders with humbuckers, but maybe I'm overlooking a couple gibson options.

For starters, are there any les pauls or sg's out there with the longer scale leght? They can't look gaudy, and have to be somewhat easily available and affordable...

Cheers.
What part of the Gibson sound are you looking for? Most Fenders [excluding Jags and Duosonics] are 25.5 which also makes the strings tighter and have a brighter "fender chime" quality to them than a Gibson with a slightly shorter scale length. So a Tele with humbuckers is still not going to sound like an LP, and an SG with Single Coils isn't necessarily going to sound like a Strat.

I think I'm basicly after the sg/lp sound, with the feel of a fender. I'm the biggest strat/tele/jm fan, but there's just some sounds that gibsons do that fenders just won't. I'm sure anyone who's played an lp or sg on a fuzzy high gain amp knows what I'm talking about:)
