Yeah I'm getting big into wah enclosure pedals lately, I mainly want the pedalflanger cause it will match perfectly with my parachute wah.... I'm so OCD when it comes to my pedal board layout...goroth wrote:Toad works also has an expression capable flanger. And I think the subdecay dlx can do it too. But neither of those are in a wah shell.

That's everyone's favorite everything it seems. Still trying to figure mine out.sylnau wrote:Cosmichorus
My A/DA is a little metallic, but I'm finding some subtler tones that are great after dirt. I've also got a Psycho Flange that I modded so you can have just one of the flangers going at once and it gives a really nice typical flange sound.

I have and like the MXR Micro Flange, but it's the only one I've tried... and I wish it had manual & width knobs.

Are the MXR and Electric Mistress similar? All I know is I like the sound of the Electric Mistress a lot, but have never used flange enough to justify buying one.goroth wrote: All-rounder: MXR EVH flanger. Plus it looks all Van Halenish and has a Van Halen button. And it just sounds good all the time. Electric Mistress and it's derivatives are nice, but the EVH MXR is just... nicer.

For "normal" flanger toanz, the DOD FX72/75B are my favorite over the Boss, the MXR or the Mistress. Much thicker and fatter sounding.
For TZF/oscillation/feedback/wacky shit, the Flanger Hoax is unparalleled.

I'm tempted to mess with the trimmers in mine. The schematics I've looked at are a little unclear though. It'd be kind of lame, but not really that big of a deal, if I mucked it up.Chankgeez wrote:All flanger should.Jero wrote:... and I wish it had manual & width knobs.

Re: Your favorite flanger
Can you rehouse it and mount the trimmers on the outside of the enclosure?

Re: Your favorite flanger
Ergonomically the pedal flanger is awesome and based on that video it sounds killerAncient Astronaught wrote:Hmmm I've never messed with a meatball before, but unless you got a clone the metaball plus espression pedal would put you in the same price range and take up more pedalboard space. I mainly like this one so I can go from heel down to toe down during a build and then click it off back to normal, sounds sooooo fucking heavy.Gigahearts_FX wrote:you can do that with the lovetone and a exp pedal.Ancient Astronaught wrote:It's freakin pricey but manual flange mode?!?!?! flange wah?!?!?!?! FYAH!!!!

you can also make it do just the frozen flange sound like a mistress, then move the flange with your foot
tis awesome
I'm thinking the smallskull / bigfilter in a wah enclosure will do exactly what I'm looking for and way cheaper though.
I think pedal controlled flange is under rated!
If the flanger hoax allowed pedal controlled thru zero that'd be ridiculous....
And I just got some mod ideas!
