In my earlier days, when the only gig I could find was radio metal/rock cover bands.....I was using an Ibanez Smashbox. I thought it was okay.....kinda buzzsaw-ish, but also really meaty and metally.

I think the bass player from Torche used one of these until he switched to an OCD.

never tried the OCD on bass, but hated it with guitar.

the SmashBox is actually pretty cool on bass.

I´d say it depends how you rock your pedals.
Amp clean -> any pedal that says METAL
Amp dirty -> DS-1, RAT, Distortion+

Sometimes I wish it was called that.
Doom is such a blanket term, it does a really meh sorta job at tying together all of those different types of music.
I hate the idea of genres though, so I'm gonna be biased like that.
Good shit is good shit, regardless of what you call/label it.

At least we can hang shit on ourselves for being ridiculous though. It'd just be too sad if we were taking it too seriously.
