Making spaceship noises (like Acid Mothers Temple)

How exactly do they do this? It can't just be that small synth right? Some sort of effects?

But I'm pretty sure they do it in almost any recording.

I have no idea. Any help?
You just need a passive bass, a tube amp, and a metric ton of marijuana and Sabbath worship.

Pretty sure it's just the resonance cranked up on the filter of that synth hiroshi uses then just tweaking the filter cutoff and a few pedals. The two times I've seen them he had pedals set up all over the keys of the synth so he's definitely not even playing notes. Seeing them tonight, very excite!!

Gonna try some fucking around with the synth this weekend.

Yup. Hawkwind used oscillators to great effect too. So get an oscillator.
