Re: small AND cheap analog filter pedal
Damn, that one already has PCBs to order.
Someplace else I saw TB303 clone PCBs ready to go. Pricey, but I considered posting it early on in the thread. I'll have to track down the link.

Re: small AND cheap analog filter pedal
I was honestly going to blindly buy it until I saw the demo of the circuit. Now I'm buying it because this could be exactly the filter I want. Not a wah, but also not unlike a wah. especially in that kind of enclosure.D.o.S. wrote:Niiiice.BoatRich wrote:Way ahead of you, dumped an extra $150 in savings ahead of time.D.o.S. wrote:Punch it in the mouth and join the party.BoatRich wrote:This thread keeps getting better and better and my wallet already hates me and everyone involved.

Re: small AND cheap analog filter pedal
OKAY SO IM GONIG TO LAY DOWN DEETS HERE. THIS IS THE POST YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.
Dirge v SmallSound BigSound Filter (name TBD)
We are keeping this filter to ILF only.
There will be 2 versions of the filter. A pedal with expression control, and a wah enclosure.
Details of both:
Our thought behind both versions is to keep it simple.
The circuit will have a soft clipping stage pre-filter, to really bring out the response of the filter itself.
The filter will be fixed frequency- ie not envelope controlled.
Tenitive controls: Gain/Volume/Res/Frequency + Low Pass/Bandpass switch.
The standalone pedal will be a 125b enclosure, with all top mounted jacks (input, output, expression, power)
More than likely we will have an internal dipswitch on the inside of the pedal to direct what the expression controls.
We are keeping the run small. We had talked about possibly 20 standalones, and 5 wahs depending on demand.
The standalones will more than likely be screen printed, and the 5 wahs I will be painting and drawing on by hand.
We have not figured out a price yet. We are in the development stages of developing the soft clipping stage pre-filter and working on the filter itself for instrument use.
Brian, please feel free to fill in any details that I may have forgotten to mention!

Re: small AND cheap analog filter pedal
nah you got it all covered. shit's gonna be tight!
edit: oh yeah - so the filter type will most likely be the polivoks VCF as it's something i wanted to port to a pedal version a long time ago. obviously if everything doesn't gel then we'll try something else... i'll be making the PCBs and whatnot since it will be a really tight build with all of the jacks top-mounted. also, i've built up one of those synthacon steiner VCFs and it's pretty cool for sure.

not yet since we're still pretty far off from completion, though maybe we can start a tentative list of interested folks?nevada wrote:Preorders?

Re: small AND cheap analog filter pedal
Should we call it skullicious bigbooty/smallbooty?
Being a filter you could make the booty of the tonezz bigger or smaller, right?
