Haha, I was listening to the sound clips on the Meet Maude page when I just happened to click on this and see the vid. I was pretty excited about it before but now I NEED this SO bad.
I knew it would be good, but not that good

Haha you guys I'm best friends with Fairfield.fairfield wrote:This pretty much sums it up for me as well. I like it when it's queazy, unpredictable and a little shitty sounding. I hope the Mix knob works a lot better than the Supa Puss. In the video it does sound like there is a slight dip in volume of the clean signal once the knob is turned so far.
Is there a volume dip or does the delayed signal just get louder than the clean signal?
Thanks!

From the Fairfield Circuitry blog:
" Shipping is scheduled to start mid-May.
Some details have changed since our last post. Notably the delay time is now spec'd as 500ms to 50ms. We really wanted to reach a shorter time than 100ms and the noise goes up considerably with long delay times, especially when you're pushing the BBDs beyond their specs. We'll try to lower the minimum delay time during manufacturing but it remains a good estimate of its range."

I really dig long delay times on analog pedals; it sounds so lush and 'wrong'. Ahh well.

^ Same here... I wish Guillaume would keep the 700 range.
Short delay doesn't realy do it for me, that's why I got rid of the AD4096.

I'm with Guillaume on this one, I'd rather have less noise and less delay time. Yeah, the longer time'd be nice, but not at the expense of increased noise.

But analog clock noise is cool...
Looks like I won't be getting one of these and the AD4096'll be it for now.
Cloudsleep, you're my only hope.

Re: Fairfield is working on something new!!!
I'll still get one, but it's not as relevant to how I play any more. Around 700ms is a sweet spot in some of the riffs I play and tweak with. 800ms is closer to perfection, but very few analog delays have that kind of time. I just use the TimeLine for that.

Re: Fairfield is working on something new!!!
The Retro-Sonic Analog Delay goes to 800ms.
I guess a switch to go from short to long delay like the Retro-Sonic or the Moog Analog Delay would have been a good idea (but probably too late now).
