I've learnt to be selective in what I reply to. I read everything everyone posts and usually, if I don't post a reply to something, it's not because I haven't noticed it or I've been rude, it's probably just because I either agree or don't know enough about the topic to chuck my 2c in. So anyone that's posted and it seems like I haven't directly responded to you, apologies, I'm not being rude.
Occaisionally though, the room will move so fast my replies are redundant, so I just don't bother. Very occaisionally, I'll miss it completely when someone directly addresses me. Huge apologies if I've done this to anyone in the past, but I'm pretty sure we're all in the same boat for that.
So yeah man, just scale down your involvement, it makes it easier.

So Cave In predates OMG and Zozobra and ISIS. Zozobra is Caleb's baby (he's from Cave In -bassist, awesome bassist - and plays in OMG) and it's not really a side project, since it started during Cave In's hiatus. I think one of the Cave In guitarists plays in Zozobra now, but that wasn't the case when they started (on account of homefry moving from New England to... arizona? Cali? South Western Somewhere)

And, yes, Cave In is basically the only good band to come out of the New England metalcore explosion. IMO, YMMV, Don't punch me in the face HxC FSU kid, I love Bahhstan Haaahdcowah.

Also I saw Cave In open for Isis's last US show, and it was super rad. And saw them with Boris and Russian Circles when they first started to reactiveate in '10-ish (after Caleb came back to Boston). -- also rad.

Also Oxbow is the heaviest band covered in Blood Sweat and Vinyl, and 'Big Riff' off of Cave In's Jupiter almost brought my eardrums down the first time I heard it live.

Fuck. Everyone who follows this thread would have loved the extreme amp porn on display tonight. All the bands knew how to use em too. Old Iron was new to me. Green, sunn and some other assorted tasty's sounded killer. I didn't catch their whole set. Next time I will. Argonaut is just some straight badass shit. Mike can probably back me up on this. (Note: don't spill mikes beer while trying to start a one man mosh pit in a small venue. You're gonna have a bad time.) Marshall jcm 800 2203, verellan, Sunn. Brothers of the Sonic Cloth. Holy shit. I guess this was their first show in six months? Sounded fucking amazing. I think this might be the only 3 piece band that's local and uses more amps than we do. So goddamn good. I think a couple of 2,3 model t's, mesa bunch of stuff. fucking hell . Love hearing rigs that could play arena's in a smallish club. just massive. More killer music coming up tomorrow. good times.

I like to troll bandcamp and wishlist things. Then every once in a while I go on a spending spree and download it all.

Start on a good band then click on someone who bought it and check the other bands in their collection.

I pretty much only buy music on bandcamp these days. If more artists used it I would never torrent again, but sadly bigger artists only bother with iTunes (fuck that noise) and Amazon (they don't allow Irish residents to download). It's funny that I'm willing to give money to an artist yet they don't provide it, then they bitch because their fans are downloading from sharing websites.

Argonaut- tighter than I've seen 'em in a while, super good. I love watching Brandon play the drums; dude's a serious motherfucker.

BotSC were amazing as usual. I wish they would play shows a little more often. I know Tad was running a Mesa DR and a Model T and, I think, a Model T clone/variation. Truly crushing.

Saturday is Awesome Gear Day - waiting on delivery of a Catalinbread DLS mkIII, and just scored a Laney AOR 100 on eBay. Now to find a decent local 4x12....

I'll be interested in your thoughts on the DLS - I've been wanting on to run as a crunchy mid gain distortion to go along with my Elements.

I might get an Orange Rocker 30 head if I can find one in black. It would go with my Matamp cabinet well. I want a stereo rig and my Jet City doesn't cut it for that. I can't afford it right now, but later this year, I think I'll go for it. If I can find one for £400, brilliant. It always sounded good to me.

My wife and daughter have been visiting her sister since Friday. So far I have been drinking excessively, made ten gallons of beer, and cranked the piss out of my meager rig. Feels good bro.

I think I'm more of a 'small rig' guy. I love loud volumes, but I prefer loud volumes with smaller amps. I'm soooooo not Doom.
