Just joined a band where I'm switching from a Fetto Custom distortion to playing synth-type parts with my Snazzy FX Mini Ark via a WEN A/B splitter.
Problem I'm finding is that with the Fetto I'm using the Bridge pickup and with the Mini Ark for better tracking I need to be at neck with ideally no tone and to be able to drop this on a beat.
Never had to do this before and was wondering if a cheap EQ with lowpass and bass boost before the Mini Ark would rectify, something like those cheap Mooer EQ's. My gut tells me it won't. I don't have EQ's.
Any ideas?

you could try putting a fuzz pedal before the mini ark to try square out the signal to the input of the mini ark more to get better tracking

That, or use a compressor maybe.
Going from the bridge to the neck pickup with the tone down shouldn't be to hard if the guitar has tone controls for both pickups.
Maybe a Kill Kill Filter in front would work, that's one of the most bassy sounding eq pedals I've found so far, the Pure Boost is great too and it doesn't cost that much so you could just try it and see.
I have both here so I'll check it out for you (might take a week or so) but so far I haven't had much problems with the tracking of my synth pedals really, I also mostly play on the neck pickup though.

I wonder if you could wire the A/B switch to change pickups at the same time...

Unfortunately the guitar in question has one tone control (its also coil tap) for both humbuckers.
I've tried running a compressor before it, but it just spits the dummy, perhaps not the best compressor for the job though, a Wampler EgoComp.
I'll give the Fuzz pre a go, cheers.
Food for thought, guys, thanks.

rewire the guitar for a stereo jack and add an internal pot for tone all the way down on the neck? Would require a simple splitter box to revert the stereo cable back to normal but should be fairly simple to do. you could keep all the normal stuff on the guitar and revert it to stock if you ever want to sell it.

I have nothing to contribute to this thread other than:
Hey, I used to have a a Schecter tempest!
I bought it for $50, it was rad.
