My choices are Mini and Elements :)

I don't set Elements for vastly different amount of gain, just a bit different... in my rig, Mini is a bit more jagged and fuzzy while Elements is smoother big low-end rumbling sound

Anyway - Rats and Muffs are still cool, man

also - Zvex has made some cool stuff... I liked Woolly Mammoth and Mastotron :)

Yeah, Mastotron is more versatile and it still sort of does the thing :) Might be a better choice

Oh, yeah. I have one haha, I dunno why I didn't list it. I love it. Stacks well, and makes some gnarly noise.

Oct down + 5th down makes the earth shake.

I think maybe I have enough dirt for now heh.
Well than I'll say it again, pitchfactor.

Wooly Mammoth sounds kinda modern and synthy almost. It's a cool sound, but not my taste... some dirt sounds retro, other ones more contemporary.

I like/own/use a Mountainking Megalith (super heavy) and a Malekko B:assmaster (more grindy and low-mids, excellent for note definition).

If I was shopping now, I would look into the Dwarfcraft EuClaire Thunder. The Youtube clips look hot. I am totally unfamiliar with SS/BS, they were not on my radar back when I was looking.

Right now, I'm using the Timmy for low gain/always on and the Megalith for fuzz but
after reading this thread, I think I'd like try the TAFM + Rusty Box combo as well.

The Darkglass Duality looks rad too!

You should. I think at this point, if I could only keep 2 pedals, it would be the Rusty and TAFM. And I've only had the TAFM a couple days. I regret not buying it sooner.

I'm currently running EQD Talons > Idiotbox Blower Box > ss/bs Mini > Blackout Musket, and I have to say that I'm really really really really happy with my dirt section. Although I am getting my Ezekiel clone back from Danndubblewe soon, and that's gonna make for some difficult decisions... or maybe another gain stage...

And while I haven't been able to work it into my board yet, my silicon B:Assmaster gets tons and tons and tons of love.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Thanks for all the suggestions and posts.

I'm afraid the mini fuck, Fuck, TAFM, and The Elements I shall have to disregard. I'm in the UK; they're too expensive here.

A few my current pedals have been suggested.

I think I'm try out the following that I have:
- Big Muff green russian clone
- Barber Trifecta (triangle big muff with sludge control
- Wampler Leviatham fuzz
- zvex Mastotron
- Colorsound one knob fuzz clone (similar/same as DAM Meathead?)
- You Dirty Rat
- EQD Monarch

What do you reckon?

If you can find a muff with a mids control, that would probably work. Most times theyre scooped as shit and disappear in a mix. I dunno if you can get Fuzzrocious stuff at a reasonable price over there, but the Grey Stache would probably suit your needs. Maybe check the b/s/t?
