Re: Experimental/"out there" bass effects
I haven't played a Possessed but they seem completely different to me. The GB24 is a delay that feeds back into itself. It's kind of like a rainbow machine and a pitch shifter in one box. The possessed does glitch and retriggering stuff. can't answer your other question!

Oh, OK. I think the choppiness is what threw me off.
Well, good! I'll just get both!
Awesome suggestions guys.
I know I said no more fuzz, but I have a distinct lack of Dwarfcraft on my board. I should maybe remedy that.

Haha, well, a little unpredictability never hurt anyone. It'll just keep me on my toes.

Hmm,PitchFactor wins again, you like it, you save in one of the 50 save spotsneonblack wrote:how similar are the Goodbye 24 and the MASF Possessed? Sounds like they may cover similar territory. Would getting one make the other redundant?
Also, how "tameable" is it? If I make a crazy awesome rhythmic arpeggio pattern thing, would I be able to easily recreate it?

If I get the pitchfactor, it'll have to be next year at tax time. That's the only time I can justify a 400 dollar purchase.

I wouldn't listen to Delta -- he likes headless basses.

polygrace is too much for me. it would drive me crazy knowing I could never use it to its full potential.

Re: Experimental/"out there" bass effects
Polygrace is overkill for me too. Don't feel bad dude. I loved it but it's more of a collectors pedal.
I really disliked the Goodbye 24. The layout confused the fucking shit out of me and it didn't sound that great IMO. I know. I'm the only one. Gotta be that one though!
Pitchfactor is great. I'd go for multiple pedals though if I were you. Check out Industrialectric's stuff. Seriously. He's putting some weird shit out there. Echo Degrader is nuts. Just nuts. Or as suggested before the Bitquest. Or look into some of the manglers or Tom's pedals if you want to go fuzz.
There's so many options.
