Kustom 200B w/matching Cab…should I hit it?

Post by Deltaphoenix »

I found a MINT looking Kustom 200 Head and 2-15 Cab, the Tuck and Roll is Sparkle Blue and this is definitely the original mid-late 60s/early 70s version. The amp was bought here in Gainesville originally because it has the Lipham Music Badge on the bottom right of the cab (Lipham's Sold gear to a lot of big names: Allman Brothers, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Bo Diddley). Lipham is about to go out of business after being open over 50 years, the owners are retiring, so there is a cool bit of Local Mojo with this amp.
Anyways, the Amp and Cab work, the place wants $550 for the pair, I can probably get them down some.

What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, either the Kustom or a Peavey Firebass 700 head for $175 to go with my Avatar 2-12.

I love that old Kustom tuck and roll jank, but it was made pretty close to where I'm from.

Yeah I like them a lot but you are paying for the color at that price. I have got a black k200 with matching 3x15" for $300 in mint condition and a black k250 with silver 3x15" for $200. Of course that color is sexy as fuck so yolo, i'd probly hit it myself or at least make an offer.

I thought sometimes it was pretty decent Jensens in the cabs. But I know fuck all about Kustoms, so who knows.
